"Redeemer Church of Satan"

Earlier this month I proclaimed that I was sick of sitting around and watching all these assholes that go about claiming to be Satanists, when they are clearly not. Before I go about exposing other idiots, I want to take a moment to elaborate on one of the sites I briefly mentioned in an earlier post.

The Redeemer Church of Satan

Led by this idiot, apparently

At first glance of their website, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Upon deeper investigation, I did neither. I became infuriated by the sight of these spiritualists claiming to be what WE ARE. Spiritual religion is dangerous for numerous reasons and there is no spiritual trappings of any kind in the Satanic philosophy. Looking at the home page of their website it is very easy to see that these people are nothing more than reverse Christians championing Satan as a deity, rather than as a symbol of individualism and liberty. They speak of "bending a knee" to Satan. They even go as far as to claim Eve the first Satanist!

Are you fucking high?!?

Being a Satanist has nothing to do with Adam or Eve or anything related to Christian dogma. Christianity wasn't even an afterthought in the birth of Satanism. Satanism is solely about championing the SELF as GOD and none other!

The right hand side of their front page is also littered with a pretty little list of "Invocations to Satan". There is only one Invocation to Satan, it was written by LaVey and it opens with "In nomine Dei nostri Satanas Luciferi excelsi!" not "Lord Satan kill the Christians because they are stupid heads" or some other pissy pants mantra.

The only thing I can accredit these people with from their front page is that they point out that more people have been killed in the name of Christ than have been in the name of Satan, which is a half-truth. More people have been killed in the name of God than in the name of any religious icon and the only people who have killed in the name of Satan were certainly not Satanists, rather they were devil worshippers much like the people running this "Redeemer Church of Satan".

As we move deeper into the site we run across the "Pillars of Faith". First off, "Faith" and Satan should never be used in the same sentence. These three "pillars" are as follows (with commentary from myself):

"Knowledge is the Key to Salvation with Satan

Satan gave Eve the gift of knowledge and self-awareness, which she in turn gave to Adam. Without Satan, there is no understanding of the material or spiritual world. Satanists dedicate themselves to learning and understanding. This is manifest in the amazing intellectual accomplishments of our members, a disproportionate number of which are members of MENSA. Knowledge frees you from the spiritual shackles of Christian orthodoxy and mediocrity."

Okay, again cut the Adam and Eve bullshit, take anything relating to Christianity and chuck it out the window. These people claim that knowledge of the "material and spiritual" cannot be attained without Satan. Okay, I am a Satanist, this is true. But I am totally open to the concept that anyone with a brain can open a book and attain knowledge. That has nothing to do with Satan. Certainly there is a "third side" view point accredited to Satanism, but that does not mean that knowledge is lacking entirely lest ye be a Satanist. However, spirituality of any kind is certainly a danger to knowledge. Knowledge is attained with logic and faith is an extinguisher of logic. Faith requires you to accept something as fact regardless of scientific evidence to the contrary. That in and of itself pretty much debunks the last statement about knowledge freeing someone from the "spiritual shackles of Christian orthodoxy and mediocrity". Let me be the first to tell you, these people are not free from those very shackles they claim emancipation from. Being a reverse Christian is still being a Christian, you just have a different icon to look up to.

"Material and Spiritual Happiness Can Co-Exist"

WRONG! - There was more to this one, but I need not go further with it. The idea that spiritual and material happiness can co-exist is an extreme fallacy. Material happiness, secular indulgence cannot happen alongside spiritual happiness because all spiritual religions condemn man for indulging in his carnal natures, thus forcing man into their churches to repent and tithe for their sins.

"Satan gives us the world

This tenant is often misinterpreted as a contract to sell your soul to the devil. The truth is Satan would never pay for your soul, He will only accept it given freely and willingly. But give your soul to Him, and the restraints imposed by Christian dogma fall away and you are able to pursue your true nature and desires, unfettered by the violence loving “morality” of the bible."

Granted, we as Satanists do often refer to Satan as "Ruler of the World". This is because Satan is a mindset and mode for ourselves. We are superior beings who are gods in our own right and thusly, rulers of our lives. This has nothing to do with bending a knee to some anthropomorphic being with horns and cloven feet. Not to mention the concept of "selling your soul" is so cliche and out-dated. Further more there is no "giving yourself to Satan". We are born NOT made Satanists and the whole idea behind "shedding yourself of the shackles of Christianity" to worship Satan is like trying to drive a car in reverse, you get nowhere fast and if you do move, you only end up smashing into the people who are actually trying to progress forward.

The "Pillars of Faith" also include a list of "Do's and Dont's" which I will only address by saying that we have 9 sins and 11 rules of the earth and none of them have anything to do with what these people illustrate in their 4 do's and 4 dont's. Without going into a full list of these sins and rules, I can simply say by observing the RCoS website, you can perfectly observe what it is to NOT be a Satanist.

Then these idiots have the nerve to post a section called "Christianity vs. Satanism" which has a whole list of retarded political and moral rules that really do no justice for what it is to be a Satanist. If you really want to compare the two ideas, look to the Church of Satan website to see what it is we practice in comparison to what spiritual religionists do in their lives.

The most laughable of ideas promoted by this website is the "4 Steps to Satan". Again I ask, are you fucking high? These "4 Steps" are nothing but a passageway to reverse Christianity. If you are a TRUE Satanist, you were BORN that way and the steps to discovering this truth are not as they say here but can be summarized as follows:

1) Question all things.
2) Embrace Atheism.
3) Read the Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey. Should you find yourself in those pages then the truth be known.
4) Declare yourself a Satanist.

That's it, really. No stupid spiritual trappings, no forced indoctrination, just realization.

The final portion of this website is "Find a Local Satanist". This promotes the idea of taking out an ad in Craig's List to find other Satanists. Seriously, lay off the reefer. We as Satanists know how to find each other as we can smell our own (and we know how to navigate the internet).

I almost forgot about the "Testify for Satan" section. If you want to see someone "testify" for Satan, look at the world around you. It is safe to say the most successful people walking this earth, those who control the world around them rather than being controlled by the world ARE Satanists because we are superior and we don't bend our knees to anyone. We take what we deserve and we divide and conquer. Water seeks its own level and stratification ensues.

A spiritualist is a spiritualist, no matter whom they claim to be their god. Satan is not about spirituality. Satan is about serving the Self. Beware these spiritual assholes for they are a plague to the world around us!

The Dangers Of Spiritual Religions

The following is a compilation of events that I have personally witnessed that only show the dangers of spiritual religions.

There is this kid that is running around my college who is under the impression that he is possessed. Seriously, you can't make this up. He claims to be having "dark, blasphemous thoughts" that he feels unapologetic about. Not only that, but because he has been brought up to fear God his whole life, he is having a baptism tomorrow to purge himself of these "evil spirits." I've tried to explain to this child that these "blasphemous thoughts" are not harmful unless you give them that power. It goes in one ear and out the other.

Now, this sort of behavior is extremely dangerous. Do some research on serial killers and you will find several names of killers who claimed to be "possessed" or "sent by God" to do what it was that they did. And of course, there is always those "the Devil made me do it" cases. I have compassion for this individual, because he is an outsider and anything but popular amongst the masses, but his passion for these spiritual concepts is on the level of insanity. I've thought about reaching out to this individual and taking him "under my wing" so to speak and reassuring him that it is okay to be an outsider, but as his behaviors escalade to these enormously fanatical levels, I cannot help but sever all ties with him and distance myself from him for my own safety. I have to say that if this baptism he is supposed to endure does not relieve him psychologically, I am going to have to take it to a higher authority simply because if he does snap and I predicted it, I would not feel good about having allowed it to happen.

Here is a separate series of events that while unrelated, also gives way to the idiocy of spiritual religion.

Here at my school, we have a diverse collective of religious affiliations floating around. We also have a group for Christians called "Common Ground" that was started by one of the students. One day, I was sitting there eating my lunch when I hear this person discussing to another about how he is not going to raise his children to believe in Santa or any of those other holiday personifications. This sounds reasonable, until he explains why. He says that this sort of fantasy support leads to atheism.

Apparently, telling a child that the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus are real and then explaining to them when they mature that they are actually mythical ideas instills doubt in the child and that because of this doubt, the child will begin to question the existence of God. Personally, I see no problem in teaching a child to question the information they are being presented. I also see no problem in allowing them to utilize their natural magical abilities as well as exercising their faculties of imagination and fantasy. I thought I'd heard it all before, but blaming Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny for a child's rejection of God? Come on! How ridiculous can you get?

Spiritual religion is a retardation of progress. Unfortunately, it isn't going away anytime soon as it also serves as a social stratification. Beware these fanatics, they are dangerous in more ways than one.

Anti-Satanic Bastards

Okay,

I've been reading Magistra Ygraine's blogs on both here and MySpace for some time now. I read them because not only do I agree with her on the points she makes, but also because I too feel the pain she is venting.

So excuse me while I dust off my soap box.

I've been Google searching Satanism on and off in my spare time just to see what kind of ilk is floating around out there and every time I find something new and extremely retarded that not only exemplifies what Satanism is NOT but tries to claim that it is what WE ARE.

Today, I found the following websites.

Modern Satanism

Exposing Satanism

ReligionCults.com

And I found this one the other day.

Redeemer Church of Satan

The list goes on and it's all the same retarded crap, this doesn't even include all the bullshit I found on Wikipedia. There are a few solid entries, thanks to some of our own members, but most of it is crap. It's no wonder when a friend or colleague hears the term "Satanism" or any reference to the "S" word they jump out of their skin (unless they are already well versed in the subject). There is a lot of crap floating around out there soiling OUR name and whenever I read any of it, I feel that Black Flame that burns in my heart grow with fury and outrage.

So, anyone that might read this that doesn't (or hasn't) read anything published by our organization or any of our esteemed members, allow me to set the record straight.

There is only ONE Satanism.

It was codified, defined and claimed by Anton LaVey in 1966.

Theistic Satanism, Spiritual Satanism, Modern Satanism, LaVeyan Satanism, all these terms mean NOTHING. Let me say it again, there is only ONE Satanism.

We came up with it, we get to name it.

They didn't and they don't

While there have certainly been some people throughout history that have exhibited Satanic traits, there has been NO RELIGIONS prior to the founding of the Church of Satan with that name on it. Any that have sprouted up since the religion's inception are NOT Satanism, as much as they wish they were.

This religion has evolved more in the last fourty-two years than any other worldly religion could EVER hope to. We are the anti-religion, the opposition of what organized religion represents. We are the Opposer, the Accuser and the Questioner of all that religion has said man should be.

I stumbled upon that black book almost ten years ago and two years ago decided to align myself with the ONE and ONLY Church of Satan because I saw what was in that book burning inside of ME and I love this religion and the outstanding individuals I've had the pleasure of meeting with ALL my being.

As the good Magistra said many blog entries ago, the time of turning our cheeks to these wastrels who claim to be what WE ARE is over! It is time to smash those bastards on the other cheek! Return blow for blow, smash hip and thigh and return our enemies blows with compound interest! Sweet Lucifer I can stand by the wayside no longer!
